When it comes to high-end luxury cars, the devil is in the details. That’s why Bentley’s bespoke division, Mulliner, offers its clientele options to design and customize their own Bentley vehicles. Since the division’s inception in 2014, Bentley Mulliner has produced over 1,000 bespoke Bentley models. Their portfolio includes everything from limited editions to Coachbuilt cars, each of which was personalized by and for the customer.
To honor all the Mulliner Visualizers doing God’s work on behalf of their clients, we thought we’d highlight a few of our favorite cool Bentley models that were released since the Mulliner division was created. Whether you’re looking for custom car ideas or simply want to jump down the rabbit hole that is “bespoke Bentley,” we’ve got the goods to get your brain synapses firing.
8. Bentley Mulliner Bacalar
Recognized as the rarest two-door Bentley manufactured in the modern era of hypercars – only 12 were produced – the Bentley Mulliner Bacalar spearheaded the automaker’s return to coachbuilding. And, boy, did they do it well.
There’s a lot of car to love here. From its muscular stance to its fully digital instrumentation panel, the Bacalar truly means business. Our favorite feature of this bespoke Bentley is its wraparound cockpit, which snuggly envelops you (+1) in a cocoon – a cocoon that happens to have a top speed of over 200 mph.
7. Bentley Continental GT Convertible Number 1 Edition
Inspired by Dorothy Paget’s legendary 1932 Number 1 Bentley Blower, this custom Bentley GT Convertible fuses past and present with aplomb.
Available in two exquisite paint colors, Dragon Red II and Beloga, the Number 1 Edition GT is a bright sight for sore eyes. A “1” is painted on the front grille, and an 18-carat gold Number 1 badge can be found on the fender – all to honor the original.
Inside, it features much of the same “Thanks, Blower” treatment. Number 1 treadplates and Grand Black veneer strips. High-gloss heritage-hide upholstery. A British Jaeger Number 1 clock with 18-carat gold organ stops to mimic Blower’s switchgear. To tie it off with a bow, this new Bentley features a piece of piston from the O.G. Blower. Recast as a Bentley wheel spinner, this homage is paid right within the Bentley Rotating Display.
6. Bentley Bentayga Falconry
Coachbuilding is a delicate balancing act between impeccable engineering and creative craftmanship. It also presents the opportunity to work on something truly unique. Take the Bentley Bentayga Falconry accessory, as a prime example.
Fitted within your standard Bentayga, this accessory ups the ante – if you’re a falconer, that is. It features a natural-cork-trimmed master flight station, which is attached to a movable tray for ease of access, and a special Piano Black veneered drawer, complete with a one-of-a-kind falcon crest.
Coolest of all, the Bentayga accessory comes with compartments for all your falconry needs: GPS bird tracking units, binoculars, bird hoods and gauntlets, and even a refreshment case with metal flasks.
5. Bentley Mulsanne Grand Limousine
In all, only 5 of these custom Bentley Mulsanne limousines were ever created, making it perhaps the rarest limo in all of human history (maybe). The Grand Limousines were privately commissioned by a client, yet they were never used; Bentley subsequently put them up for sale in 2021.
Each of the Mulsanne limos had their own personality and style to suit any taste:
- Damson over Black Crystal paintwork, complemented by Damson and Twine leathers and Dark Stained Burr Walnut veneer
- Onyx over Candy Red exterior, with a Hotspur and Camel interior finished with Olive Ash veneer
- Rubino Red over Light Gazelle bodywork, with an interior in Fireglow and Twine leather paired with Burr Walnut veneer
- A single tone Black Sapphire exterior, with an Imperial Blue and Camel interior contrasted by Dark Stained Burr Walnut veneer

4. Bentley Flying Spur with Tweed Interior
Did you know that Bentley Mulliner vehicles can be outfitted with over 5,000 wood veneers? While you certainly wood love any of those options, we’re particularly fond of the elegant new Tweed interior available on four- and two-door Grand Tourers like the Flying Spur.
The tactile woven wool finish of the tweed feels as upscale as it looks, and when applied to the doors and dash, it transforms the cabin into a Burberry-inspired wonderland. The tweed fabric is also sustainably sourced from Lovatt Mill, a local Scottish producer that operates a “dry” facility, meaning they do not cause adverse impacts on the natural environment.
3. Bentley Limited Edition Continental GT
If you were one of the 15 lucky people to buy a Limited Edition Continental GT, then prepare to be in the history books. The W12 Continental GT broke the Pines Peak record that year, making it one of the fastest cars in the world.
As fast as it was colorful, the Limited Edition Gt featured Acid Green brake calipers, high-end Pirelli P Zero Colour Edition tires, 22-inch Gloss Black Mulliner wheels, Radium stitching on its seats, and an absolutely brilliant Piano Black center console. 2. Bentley Continental GT Convertible Equestrian Edition
As the first “member” of the Mulliner Collections portfolio, this custom Continental GT Equestrian Edition convertible featured unique “horse and rider” emblems on its headrests and front fascia. It was specially commissioned with a Spruce exterior paint shade, elaborate diamond quilted tweed fabric (see #4 from above list), and stunning Burr Walnut veneer.
Of course, it included Bentley’s world-renowned driver-assist technology, such as Bentley Safeguard Plus, night vision, and a head-up display.
1. Bentley Bentayga Space Edition
The bespoke Bentayga Speed Space Edition model, pictured above, is undoubtedly the coolest custom Bentayga we’ve ever seen.
On the outside, you’re treated to a lovely shade of metallic gray paint. Shine a light on it, however, and you’ll notice some subtle undertones of green. This is Cypress, one of Bentley’s most unique exterior paint shades. If you need custom car paint job ideas, take a cue from this bespoke Bentayga.
Inside the cabin, it’s pure Bentley. Illuminated treadplates, embossed with orbiting planets, welcome you to experience something otherworldly. Orange accents and piping surround the Galaxy Stone dashboard and are a perfect match with Beluga and Porpoise trimmings.
