Available with 56 billion potential bespoke configurations, the latest Bentley Continental GT has quickly become one of the best import cars for the money. In all its iterative glory—its lineup includes the classic GT, Speed, Mulliner, S and Azure models—Bentley's Continental GT is a bonafide stud, delivering one of the most dynamic and luxurious rides in the entire class. It's also an award magnet, earning annual prizes up the wazoo.

Just this year, for instance, the new Continental GT received two of the luxury automotive industry's coveted prizes.

Robb Report 2023 Car of the Year

The Bentley Continental has long been a favorite amongst Robb Report's readers and staff, though it had never had the privilege of being a repeat winner—until now.

In 2004, the then-new W12 GT walked away with the magazine's Car of the Year (COTY) award. A few years later, in 2007, the GT Convertible got to enjoy the limelight and bring home its own COTY trophy. A handful of "close but no cigar" nominations down the line, and the newest Bentley grand tourer was back on top, winning 2022 COTY honors.

With its 2023 win, its fourth ever, the Continental GT can finally say it's a back-to-back champion. (Now, let's start talking about that three-peat, shall we?)

"Our judges recognized the Bentley Continental GT and GTC as the quintessential grand tourers, thanks to the combination of power and agility matched by the comfort and capacity of a luxury sedan." - Robert Ross, Robb Report

More than 175 Robb Report readers, judges and editors assessed the field of 10 luxury cars to land on an undisputed winner. Those assessments revolved around five unique categories: looks, performance, comfort, utility and collectability (the "wow factor"). In the end, it was the Bentley Continental GT S that received the most votes.

"This car is still king of the hill. It has looks, power and comfort. You can drive it every day – and everywhere – and never be bored." - Mark Newman, Robb Report Judge

The Continental GT S range is instantly recognizable due to the high-contrast dark exterior detailing offering a sleek. The lighter 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine gives the GT S models an explosive and sporting character amplified by Bentley Dynamic Ride - the advanced 48V electric active anti-roll control system first pioneered by Bentley. The GT S brings attitude, agility and depth to the grand touring recipe of the Continental GT—and there's really no surprise why it's Robb Report's choice for best luxury car of the year.

"...Continental GT S and GTC S may be the best-kept secrets to come from England since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle talked to Oprah." - Robert Ross

Auto Motor und Sport Best Cars Award

With a handcrafted cabin that seamlessly integrates natural materials with advanced, driver-focused features, plus a choice of powerful yet refined V8 and W12 engines, the latest Continental GT is the most dynamic road car Bentley has ever built.

Now, for the second consecutive year, the Bentley Continental GT has proven that fact by winning the annual Best Cars award from German publication Auto Motor und Sport. A total of 422 luxury import cars were in the running, but after tallying up the votes of over 100,000 people, it was Bentley's Continental GT that rose to the top.

Motor Klassik Classic of the Future Award

With a phenomenal 6.0L, twin-turbocharged W12 petrol engine, the Bentley Continental GT Speed delivers truly unrivalled power alongside supreme sporting style. As such, the newest-generation Continental GT Speed coupe unsurprisingly received its first-ever Classic of the Future award from renowned German magazine Motor Klassik.

The new GT Speed maintains the luxury, comfort and usability of its siblings, but everything under the hood is kicked up a notch. It is equipped with an uprated version of Bentley’s renowned 6.0-litre W12 TSI engine, delivering 650 BHP whilst maintaining an extraordinary 664 lb-ft of torque. It can reach a top speed of 208 mph and 0-60 mph in 3.5 seconds. An unmatched balance of luxury and fearsome performance, this is one of the most exciting cars to drive—there's a reason why we took it on a Key West road trip—which means it's sure to become a classic collectible 30 years from now.

What Car? Best High-End Coupe Award

"You’d expect a Bentley to be luxurious, and the Continental GT doesn’t disappoint. Just about everything is trimmed with polished wood or soft leather and the quality of the fixtures and fittings is exemplary." - Steve Huntingford, What Car?

The power of the Continental GT is truly formidable. With a 542-BPH V8, this sports coupe can run a zero-to-60 in 3.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 198 mph. In Sport mode, it provides near-instantaneous torque and corners like melted butter in a well-seasoned cast iron. Bentley Dynamic Ride, the clever anti-roll system, boosts its cornering and handling abilities even further, delivering a world-class ride for two. And thanks to an impressive sound system, it's a true privilege to ride in its cabin.

In addition to winning the 2022 What Car Best High-End Coupe Award, the Continental GT V8 also received the publication's 2023 Best Coupe for Luxury prize

"Could there be a more decadent way to get around than a vast two-door car with a six-figure price tag? We seriously doubt it – and if that’s the market you’re shopping in, the Bentley Continental GT is our pick." - What Car?
