What is the Bentley Bentayga Hybrid MPG?
Motivating a luxurious vehicle like the Bentayga Hybrid requires generating significant output from a drivetrain, and that often comes with an engine that thirstily drinks fuel. The combination of turbocharged V6 engine and Bentley E Motor in the Bentayga Hybrid works to provide inspiring performance while consuming less premium fuel than the V8 Bentayga.

Comparing the combined MPG ratings for these two vehicles shows the Hybrid drivetrain provides an efficiency increase of nearly 18%.
The Hybrid Bentayga also offers its owner a combined hybrid efficiency of 47 MPG and the ability to drive for 28 miles in EV Drive mode.
Is the Bentayga V8 or Hybrid V6 Better?
There’s no definitive answer to this question as the choice between a Bentley V8 and a Bentley V6 paired with an E Motor often comes down to priorities and personal preference.
The V8 engine is more powerful than the Hybrid as it produces 542 HP compared to the 443 HP in most Hybrids. There is a 455 HP version as well, but that’s limited to Azure and S Bentayga hybrids. The V8 can also accelerate the Bentayga from 0 to 60 MPH in as little as a shocking 3.5 seconds. If power is your priority the V8 is most likely the Bentayga for you.
The Hybrid V6 Bentayga still accelerates from 0 to 60 MPH in as little as 4.5 seconds, which is still a thrilling sprint, but it would lose a race with its V8 platform mate.
The Hybrid wins the efficiency contest though, so your decision between V8 and V6 Hybrid may very well depend on whether you value the efficiency advantages offered by the V6 and E Motor.
Are There Other Bentley Hybrid Models?
Bentley is journeying with their customers into an electric future, and is pursuing an all-electric line up by 2030, but is currently producing hybrid vehicle options for two luxurious selections in its lineup: the Bentayga we’re writing about and the Flying Spur.
The two Hybrid Bentleys share battery and hybrid technologies, as well as essential architecture, but the Flying Spur is equipped with a 2.9 liter turbocharged V6 hybrid engine. This combination of Bentley E Motor and turbocharging produces 536 brake horsepower and 750 Newton meters (553 feet of torque.)
The Flying Spur Hybrid can achieve a top speed of 177 MPH and can operate on purely electric power at a maximum of 87 MPH. It also accelerates from 0 to 60 MPH in as little as 4.1 seconds and offers a combined driving range of 497 miles with 25 miles of electric only range.
