Sorry. We got carried away with our excitement. In the simplest terms, the My Bentley app offers a suite of services that enables you to stay connected to and fully enjoy every aspect of your luxury vehicle.
In technical terms, your Bentley “goes ham.” Utilizing an embedded SD card to receive and report real-time data – like news, weather reports, traffic information, and road hazard warnings, for instance – the vehicle provides in-car content and also allows you to interact with it remotely via the My Bentley application. Ultimately, the full suite delivers a safer, smarter, and much more convenient driving experience. (Life becomes easier, essentially.
My Bentley: Services
In all, the features of My Bentley can be categorized into three main groups of service: SAFE, SMART, and CONVENIENT.SAFE
My Bentley’s SAFE suite offers several unique features that both help to prevent dangerous situations and aid you in the event of an emergency. These Bentley emergency services include:
In the event of an accident, Private eCall will initiate automatically to establish a call with the Bentley Emergency Call Centre. The call center operator will be able to pinpoint your location and view information relating to the condition of vehicle. They are trained to guide and assist you and will coordinate the necessary emergency services on your behalf. Private eCall can also be initiated manually by pressing the SOS button in the roof console of the vehicle.
In the event of a breakdown, Roadside assistance call provides a direct line to the Bentley Roadside Assistance Call Centre who will arrange the necessary recovery service. You can initiate the call by pressing the roadside assistance button in the roof console of the vehicle.
In the event of a theft, Stolen vehicle finder gives you the opportunity to contact the Bentley Stolen Vehicle Tracking Call Centre to place a GPS tracking request. The operator will attempt to locate your vehicle and liaise with the local enforcement agency to recover it.
Real-time traffic information (RTTI) gathers the latest information on traffic flow and incorporates it into the vehicle's Navigation system to help you avoid congestion on your route.
SMART
Features in the SMART category provide you with even more access to in-car information, ensuring that you’ve always got a finger on the pulse of your Bentley. Best of all, with the expansion of My Bentley, a handful of all-new features have been added into the mix. These in-car services include:
Wi-Fi hotspot lets you create a wireless in-car internet network for you and your passengers. You can connect up to eight devices allowing you to stay in touch with the outside world from the comfort of your Bentley.
Apple CarPlay® is a smarter and safer way to use your iPhone® in the vehicle. CarPlay® takes the things you want to do with your phone whilst driving and puts them right on your car's built-in touch screen Infotainment display. You can get directions, make calls, send and receive messages, and listen to music, all in a way that allows you to stay focused on the road.
Android Auto™ lets you experience the best features of your Android™ while driving. Android Auto takes the features of your smartphone and makes them accessible through the car’s built-in touch screen Infotainment display. You can access your favorite smartphone apps on-the-go, in a way that allows you to stay focused on the road. (Only available on New Bentayga.)
Satellite maps assists with orientation by using satellite imagery to create a rendering of your surroundings. The downloaded images are intelligently cached to lower the data volume meaning that they will be readily available for your most frequent routes.
Online search powered by Google™ lets you search for specific or unusual locations using a free text field in the vehicle's Navigation system. It works in the same way as a Google internet search returning extensive and up-to-date results including star rating, reviews and opening hours etc. where available.
Fuel info identifies the nearest fuel stations in the area or at a destination of your choice, allowing you to navigate to the most convenient location. You can filter the results by distance or price.
News lets you access the latest headlines on-the-go. At the touch of a button, the selected article can be read out loud to you, allowing you to maintain focus on the road.
Weather provides you with detailed weather conditions for your location or at a destination of your choice.
Map update allows you to upgrade your maps over-the-air, hassle-free. You can check for updates and download new maps as required.
E-charging identifies the nearest charging point locations in the area or at a destination of your choice, allowing you to navigate to the most convenient location. You can filter the results by distance, bay availability and charging rate. (Only available on Bentayga Hybrid.)
SiriusXM 360L gives you an upgraded in-car audio entertainment experience, delivering over 150 radio channels, on-demand audio and improved personalization. (Only available on New Bentayga.)
Online radio lets you to stream audio content via the internet, meaning you are unrestricted by geographical area or language. You can select from a range of options including favorites, countries, genres, languages and podcasts. (Only available on New Bentayga.)
Song recognition lets you compare digital music files to a worldwide database of music information, enabling you to identify songs, lyrics and cover art. (Only available on New Bentayga.)
Point of interest (POI) search lets you search online for points of interest using a free text field in the vehicle’s Navigation system. It works in the same way as an internet search engine returning extensive and up-to-date results including fuel prices, opening times and images etc. where available. (Only available on New Bentayga.)
Natural speech recognition lets you use the phrase "Hey Bentley" to wake speech activated commands within the vehicle. The increased number of commands allow you to interact with the vehicle in more conversational style. (Only available on New Bentayga.)
Privacy mode allows you to restrict the data feeds from your vehicle to Emergency services only. The three privacy groups let you control additional options relating to personal data and vehicle position settings. (Only available on New Bentayga.)
CONVENIENT
Receive and view information. Send commands. Check in on your Bentley. You’ll never be too far away from your Bentley. These remote services include:
Find my car saves the last parked location of your vehicle and uses your smartphone’s mapping system to guide you back to it.
My car status lets you view various updates about your vehicle through the My Bentley app. This includes the status of your locks, lights, fuel range and mileage as well as service intervals and dashboard warnings.
Lock my car lets you lock and unlock your vehicle from anywhere using the My Bentley app. You can also check if your windows, doors, or trunk have been left open.
Perimeter alert lets you define a geographical area (e.g. around your home or an airport car park) where the vehicle is allowed. If the vehicle leaves or enters the area you will receive a push notification and an alert in the My Bentley app.
Speed alert lets you remotely set a speed threshold for the vehicle. If the vehicle exceeds this speed, you will receive a push notification and an alert in the My Bentley app.
Valet alert combines the benefits of Speed and Perimeter alert letting you remotely set a geographical perimeter and speed threshold for the vehicle. If the vehicle leaves the permitted area or exceeds the defined speed, you will receive a push notification and an alert in the My Bentley app.
Curfew alert lets you set an alert for 0mph. If the vehicle moves during this period, you will receive a push notification and an alert in the My Bentley app.
My cabin comfort lets you remotely heat or cool your cabin to an optimum temperature of 22°C ahead of your journey. (Only available on Bentayga Hybrid.)
My battery charge allows you to remotely initiate vehicle charging as long as your vehicle is plugged in. You can select the time you plan to leave and the charging system will calculate a rate of charging to achieve the highest level of charge in line with your departure.
My car statistics provides you with an overview of vehicle data relating to your trips and mileage. You can view the time and date of recent trips as well as last trip distance, average speed, travel time and average fuel/electric consumption. (Only available on Bentayga Hybrid.)
My Bentley: How to Register
Once you’ve got an eligible Bentley vehicle, it’s time to register your My Bentley account. The registration process is very quick and simple.
- First, open the My Bentley app and select “SIGN UP.” Click “PROCEED.”
- Enter your personal information, including phone number with country code. Click “CONFIRM.”
- Read and accept all legal documentations. Click “CONFIRM.”
- Enter your VIN.
- Select your preferred Bentley dealer. Click “CONFIRM.”
- Submit your registration.
- Check your email to “ACTIVATE NEW USER ACCOUNT.” Click the activation link to open the My Bentley app.
- Create a secure password for your account. Click “CONFIRM.”
- Log into your account and define a PIN for added security.
